Avu Med 'Telcam, commonly known as "The Bishop," is a Sangheili fundamentalist and a representative of the Servants of Abiding Truth (Neru Pe 'Odosima). 'Telcam once served in the Covenant military as an interpreter of human languages; he was promoted to the rank of Field Master before his resignation. He views Arbiter Thel 'Vadam and his followers as "infidels" - traitors to their faith, as they renounced the Great Journey and destroyed the Covenant at the Ark. 'Telcam is currently working with the United Nations Space Command's Office of Naval Intelligence in an attempt to begin an insurrection against 'Vadam's forces.[1]
