Trained as an Orbital Drop Shock Trooper, he and his fellow ODST Vaz were hand picked by the Office of Naval Intelligence to serve under Captain Serin Osman during a diplomatic mission to Sanghelios in 2553. They also participated in a covert operation to board a Covenant ship and capture a Huragok. At one point during their travels, they came across the survivors from Onyx's internal Micro Dyson sphere.[1]
