:Yeah, I totally agree, but A, one of the treads is cut off by a text box (which may require Content-Aware fill), and B, my scanner isn't really the best scanner around--scanned images come out kinda pixelated, at least, a little bit. I'm trying to figure out a way to refine and enhance the quality of the scanned image or images I produce (check out some of the scans in my gallery), but it's slow going. I'll get on it as soon as I can, and keep trying to find a way to produce a higher quality, not-so-pixelated scanned image, and it would be nice if someone else could get on this too, if possible. ::'''UPDATE''': I just replaced the introductory image with a somewhat de-pixelated scanned image of the M145D Rhino shown in ''Halo: The Essential Visual Guide'', but I was unable to correct the tread crop using Content-Aware fill in Photoshop. Anyway, hope it is satisfactory for everybody. Confirmation?
The above link, green tank, top-middle of picture. Appears to have the multi-track set up of the Rhino not the quad-track of the scorpion. A Monument to All Your Sins 22:08, 17 November 2008 (UTC)
Umm... Isn't the Rhino a artillery piece? A large caliber barrel would make it one, and from its appearence in the wallpapers it varifies my statement. Jin Won 19:47, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
So far its only been referred to as a tank and nothing else. --Ajax 013 20:02, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
Halo Wars demo
go to the homepage and download the video demonstration. at one point, while the guy's getting Warthogs, you can see the Rhino int he menu. It looks smaller than the Scorpion tank, and not just in physical size but in performance too. See below for a comparison
Scorpion
Air damage: 22
Vehicle damage: 93
Infantry damage: 40
Structure damage: 51
DEFENCE:34
Rhino
Air damage: 0
Vehicle damage: 19
Infantry damage: 15
Structure damage: 42
DEFENCE: 36
So the Scorpion has much better offensive power, and can engage aircraft, while the Rhino has slightly better armour but far less attack power. Maybe its faster, to compensate? File:HalfJaw03.jpg Kora ‘Morhekee The Battle-Net My Conquests. 22:58, 27 August 2007 (UTC)
No way to know, in the picture it defo looked bigger than the scorpion. I think that its most likely self propelled artillery but best wait until official information is released on it. --Ajax 013 02:39, 28 August 2007 (UTC)
These stats should be removed, as they have no bearing on the performance of Rhinos in the released game. In addition, I don't see how why the stats should be in the article in the first place. 128.220.3.54 17:34, November 24, 2009 (UTC)
Heavy Tank?
From its stats, it appears to be more of a Self-Propelled Artillery Vehicle than a Heavy Tank. Heavy Tanks can inflict waaay more damage than that. The Sarge File:Marine Corp 1stSgt.jpgComm CSV 21:15, 23 October 2007 (UTC)
Okay, there is no way a Rhino could be a Heavy Tank if the Scorpion, being a MBT, is more powerful. It more then likely a Light Tank, a Fast Attack Tank, or a Self Propelled Artillery piece. I suggest it's role on the page be changed from Heavy Tank to Light Tank.

well it certainly does look different but we still cant say its the Rhino until the game comes out. If it is it looks like it has a total of 6 bogies and a very large chasis, to bad there isnt a Scorpion nearby we so we could compare the two.Hollywood 22:52, 31 January 2008 (UTC)
Prototype
In this gameplay video the Rhino can be seen, it's a "secret weapon" which fired plasma-based shell.

Better Picture
In Halo: The Essential Visual Guide on the Rhino's page, there is an excellent render of it we could use for the main picture.
- First off, whose unsigned comment is this? I'd like to know, so they can brought back into the loop.
