Monkeyman?
This and the Cavemen from Halo 3 look do not resemble any particular species of Old or New World Monkeys. They're lack of tails and larger size seems to suggest that they are Apes. They look like Chimpanzees, Bonobos or Australopithecines to me (remodled with Marcus Lehto's face, of course).
