As seen at the end of the HALO 4 trailer MC places something over his sidearm's front end effectively making it roughly the size of the SMG. (That's how it looked to me) Could this possibly be the introduction of a modular weapon system somewhat akin to what has been seen in the Jak & Daxter trilogy?
