Headquarters, also known as an HQ, is any location in which allies can gather together and discuss various political and/or military situations. A modern day example of this is the UN HQ located in New York City, New York, in the United States.
Various Examples of HQ's would include:
- The UNSC's main HQ was on the planet Reach, until it was glassed by the Covenant. After the Battle of Reach, HIGHCOM Facility Bravo-6 in Sydney, Australia served as the headquarters of the UNSC.
- Alpha Base was the HQ of the UNSC Pillar of Autumn's survivors; it was abandoned and destroyed during the closing stages of the Battle of Installation 04.
- Crow's Nest was an old military base repurposed as the HQ of the remaining UNSC Marines in Kenya late in the Battle of Earth: it was attacked by the Covenant and evacuated during the events of Halo 3.
- High Charity was the Covenant HQ; it was infested by the Flood during the Human-Covenant War and brought to Installation 00, where it was boarded and destroyed by John-117 and the Arbiter.
- NMPD Headquarters was the headquarters building for New Mombasa Police Department in the city of New Mombasa, Kenya.
