Shore Leave: Master Chief on Holiday is a short six-frame comic strip by Paul Russel that was included in the Halo Graphic Novel alongside Bungie's Bullshit Bluster, a section in which Bungie writes about the production of the HGN. The story depicted is of Master Chief on shore leave and having a miserable time dealing with mundane matters such as getting the morning paper, getting stuck in traffic, and getting groceries. While most of the stories in the HGN have serious content if non-canon imagery due to artistic license, Shore Leave is completely non-canon and was created for humorous purposes.
