Where the prometheans the same as spartans? Because they seen to act as super soldiers but the book doesn't really gives a specification about it

Nope, totally different. SPARTANS are humans augmented by cybernetics and whatnot, Prometheans are Forerunners (which have been extinct for millenia)SPARTAN-347 00:48, 3 February 2011 (EST)
I think he meant are they analogous, in which case I still don't think so. Spartans are a group of elite supersoldiers. Prometheans are more akin to godlike generals, revered by the Forerunner people and with almost supreme authority.
