EMP Kill is a medal in Halo 3: ODST and Halo: Reach, in the latter called EMP Blast.
In Halo 3: ODST, it is awarded when a player kills a Brute shortly after disabling its Power Armor[1], as well as any shielded enemy including a Jackal equipped with a shield or an Engineer.
It is represented by a 16-pointed green star over a 16-pointed gold star, with an overcharged Plasma Pistol shot over the green star.
In Halo: Reach, it is awarded for killing another player after their shields have been dropped with an EMP burst from either Armor Lock, Grenade Launcher or overcharged Plasma Pistol shot.
