The first wave of SPARTAN replicas produced by McFarlane Toys.

McFarlane Toys is a subsidiary of Todd McFarlane Productions Incorporated that makes detailed models of characters from movies, comics, musicians, video games, and sport figures.[1] After the launch of Halo 3, they were given the contract to produce figures from the characters of the game, mainly the popular units, such as the Master Chief. Aside from that, the company also produced several multiplayer figures to incorporate the increasing demand by their customers. These Action Figures also feature new things such as Halo Points and Removable Armor (not always). They are also much more detailed than the ones produced by Joyride Studios.

Halo Points

McFarlane Toys created a points-based rewards program in 2008 that was officially launched in January 2009. Customers purchasing McFarlane Halo items will note that a varying number of Halo Points will denoted on the UPC, except in the case of the Heroic Collection Series 1 sets which was excluded from the program.

To date, the Halo Points Rewards include a Halo 3 Lithograph, a Hayabusa Katana (that can be wielded, unlike in the game), 3 different versions of the highly coveted Recon Armor (Red, Blue, and Active Camouflage), and a metallic gold version of the Master Chief figurine.

This program is set to end as of November, 30 2009 or while supplies last.

Initially, the program was reserved for those residing in U.S. and Canada only.[2] As of February 27th, 2009 the program was extended to internationally and a new redemption form became available to accomodate this change. [3]
