"Gatherers"[1] are Forerunner machines whose primary function is to gather species and to catalog them. So far, these machines have only been observed operating from Line Installation 1-4 on an Unnamed Moon.[2] They consist of a fairly large main body with three red eyes, with a holding tank for captured specimens on their back, filled with a purple liquid. They are eight tentacle like, clawed arms, as well as two much smaller arms. They have four legs, although they have been seen floating through the air.
