Carpet bombing is a form of aerial warfare, utilizing large numbers of unguided bombs, to attempt the complete destruction of a target region, either to destroy personnel and material, or as a means of demoralizing the enemy.

The Carpet Bomb within Halo Wars is a Spirit of Fire support option. It was first seen in the 2007 E3 rendered video teaser.[1]
By utilizing the option, player would call in a Shortsword bomber from the Spirit of Fire which swoops across the battlefield, deploying bombs.
