A chocolate brownie, also known simply as a brownie, is a small, rich, chocolate baked cake-slice, named after its brown color.
Brownies may contain nuts, particularly walnuts and sometimes almonds. Brownies sometimes have an icing; usually chocolate, but popular flavors include either vanilla or mint extract.
Brownies are consumed by humans, and were served for dessert to the young Spartan-II's on the first day of boot camp.[1]
