A First Aid station, as seen in Halo 3: ODST.

A First Aid Station, or a Medical Kiosk, is a usable stationary terminal in Halo 3: ODST that dispenses Optican Health Packs. A normal First Aid station contains two health pack sockets. Like most of New Mombasa's infrastructure, these stations are controlled by the city's urban infrastructure AI, the Superintendent.[1]

Gameplay

Since ODST and Marine personnel lack any form of energy shielding, like that used by the previously playable character John-117, health is much more important, and thus the Medical Kiosk is a vital part of gameplay. It works in a similar fashion as the Health Packs from the original Halo game, Halo: Combat Evolved.

Trivia

  • The achievement "Heal Up" is aquired by using one of these for the first time in Halo 3: ODST.
  • Some of the Medical Kiosks are empty, and hold Audio Logs. In this case, the Health Packs that should be in the Kiosk are on the ground next to it.
