The Revenant is a multi-man vehicle armed with a plasma-based weapon that functions similar to the Covenant's standard plasma mortar, but on a smaller scale. It is described as being rather agile and potentially has a boosting feature common among Covenant vehicles.
It is known to carry at least two individuals; the pilot and a side passenger. The pilot has limited protection from small arms fire, similiar to Halo 2's Spectre ground vehicle.
This vehicle likely had some inspiration from the early Halo: Combat Evolved prototype that later went on to become the Spectre in Halo 2. This is evident not only in the dimensions of the vehicles, but also the color scheme.[2]
