The '''Super Mario Tribute''' is a Mario-like laugh reportedly heard in [[Halo 2]] on the level [[High Charity]] and also heard in the [[Halo 3 Beta]]. In the beta, the laugh was heard when the player jumped a series of rocks leading out of the map, the player would then leap into the water and die, hearing a laugh/scream sounding like Mario. In High Charity, the player would have to climb onto a gravity lift near the end of the level. The player would activate a switch, wait for the lift to rise a bit, then slip underneath it.
