Zap-Jellies are predatory sea creatures that live in the brackish seas of the Grunt homeworld Balaho. They glow with a faint pink light. They are considered to be a delicacy among the Grunt population. The translation "Zap-Jellie" may mean that this creature is similar to the Medusa cnidarians (jellyfish) that are indigenous to Earth.
They are apparently a predatory species.[1]
