'''Insurrectionists''' were the common name of the rebels that began to resist [[UNSC]] control over on [[Earth]] and the [[Sol system]]. The [[United Rebel Front]] were one of the factions that formed the Insurrectionists. They often operated various terrorist and rebel activities against the UNSC such as bombing UNSC targets. ''Innies'' was a common nickname for them, which was somewhat satirical considering how much 'they wanted out'. They were the main cause for [[Operation TREBUCHET]], in which the UNSC were forced to get rid of the Insurrectionists. The Insurrectionists were rebels that were opposed to - what they claimed was - an oppressive society run by the UNSC. The United Rebel Front were one of the factions that formed the Insurrectionists. They carried out brutal terroist attacks against the UNSC, often destroying UNSC bases and ships.

The Insurrectionists were dubbed Innies by the Marines. Somewhat satirical when one considers how much they 'wanted out' of the UNSC rule.
