Purple Reign is the nickname for a map that is announced in the Bungie Weekly Update: 10/26/2007 [1] . It will be available for download on Xbox Live Marketplace in the future.
It has been stated that it will be symetrical or semi-symetrical with the middle of the map being higher than the rest. it is possible that this map has something to do with the covenant, seeing as a great deal of their technology is purple, and the includence of the word "reign" as the covenant have had a sort of reign over most of the galaxy.
