Battle of the Silent Cartographer

Template:Battle The Battle of the Silent Cartographer was a battle aboard Installation 04, during the Human-Covenant War. A part of a much wider conflict in 2552, the battle resulted in the deaths on numerous forces on both sides and secured control of the Silent Cartographer for the UNSC.

The Battle

Summary

Arriving on the Silent Cartographer island, SPARTAN-II John-117 and two squads of marines were ordered by Captain Keyes to capture the facility holding the Cartographer so that they could locate Halo's control room. The soldiers landed on a Covenant-controlled beach and quickly captured before proceeding further in-land.

The LZ

Echo 419

As the Pelican is nearing its target, Cortana tells the Chief about the Silent Cartographer on Echo 419, the Marines then hear Carols voice, Bravo 022's Marines then open fire on the Covenant Grunts before landing.

The Beach

Sergeant Stacker then calls the Marines to Go Go Go! The Grunts respond by firing their Needlers and Grenades. The Chief then makes the Grunts retreat by killing the Minor Elites, the Grunts are all killed.

The Jackals

After the Grunts and their Elite leaders are killed, three Elites flee to the Jackals at the back of the beach, the last Elite runs around the Marines, finally being killed by the Chief sniping him with a pistol.

The Silent Cartographer

Foe Hammer then comes with a Warthog, the Sergeant then says that he did not know that she makes house calls, then Carol tells them Echo 419's motto.

The Warthog

The Sergeant and a PFC then climbs in the Warthog, then finding a force of Covenant double the size of the beach garrison, the Chief then runs most of the force over, with the rest being gunned down by the Sergeant.

The Covenant Are Putting up a Real Fight

After the force was cleared, a Spirit Dropship flew past the Chief. The Marines spotted a patroling bunch of Covenant outside a door, the Chief drives the Warthog down, then killing the Covenant at the door inside the Cartographer.

The Covenant have locked us Out

A Zealot then runs in the Cartographer locking the door, the Chief staring at him like he did at the Arbiter at Halo3. Cortana then calls Captain Keyes.

The Security Sub-system

The Beach

The Warthog then drives up the ramp, the Chief then drives off the overlook, the marine saying Woohooo!. After, they encounter another squad of Jackals.

The Hill Pass

After that they find a bunch of Elites Grunts, and Jackals converging, the Chief then drives up the rock there and the Sergeant opens fire. They then find four dead marines and their Warthog, the Chief goes back to the beach they landed and picks up another two Marines on the other Warthog and drives back.
