The Plasma Battery is the Covenant equivalent to the UNSC Fusion Coil. In Halo 3's multiplayer and campaign. The purpose of the Plasma Battery is to explode when under pressure, so it can be damaging to enemies during a battle.
If you look near the base of the closest structure, you can see the Plasma Batteries in a corner.
