Ruwan Ackerson[1] is a hotel concierge in Cleveland in 2552. He used to live in Mombasa, where he had a home and friends. Ruwan was not present when that city was destroyed, but he found himself caught in the midst of the Battle of Cleveland with Myras Tyla. He is seen driving an anachronistic American muscle car with Tyla through Cleveland.

Along with Tyla, he was captured by the Covenant.

Ruwan knows what the Key of Osanalan is. He and his brother James Ackerson invented the term of the Key when they imagined fighting a dragon in their childhoods.[2]
