Sangheilios is the Elite homeworld. It is the fourth planet its Triple Star System, with the stars Urs, Fied, and Joori. It has two moons, Qikost and Suban. It is apparently home to ancient Forerunner artefacts, the object of worship for the Sangheili.[1]

Sanghelios is also likely to be the location of an ongoing battle due to the Covenant Civil War.[3] Because of the Elites' secession from the Covenant, it is probable that Sanghelios has become the capital of the Covenant Separatists.

Etymology of Name
"Sanguine" means blood and "Helios" means sun or star. Thus, Sanghelios could be translated as "blood-sun". knowing that, it is implied that they are hot blooded in the sense that they are ferocious warriors.
