Rally Point Zulu[1] was a point in the space surrounding the colony of Reach that was designated by the United Nations Space Command as a location for all UNSC warships in the Epsilon Eridani and Jericho systems to rendezvous and repulse inbound Covenant warships that were about to attack Reach.
The appropriate UNSC vessels were alerted by the UNSC Alpha Priority Transmission 04592Z-83 sent by Admiral Roland Freemont of FLEETCOM.
153 UNSC warships united at Rally Point Zulu, but in the ensuing Fall of Reach, ultimately failed to defend Reach from the Covenant attack. Most ships that were present were destroyed by the Covenant. Only a few made it out, such as the UNSC Pillar of Autumn and a Prowler that reported back to Earth before the Covenant invasion of the human homeworld.
