Discovery
It was discovered in a set of file references when fans hacked into the source code of the Halo 3 Beta. No information about it has been provided, and it has not been seen in either leaked or official material. As such, its existence is not confirmed, nor are any of its characteristics.
Trivia
- "Cyberdyne" is the name of the robotics company that was featured in the Terminator film series.
Speculation
No information about it has been provided, and it has not been seen in either leaked or official material. As such, its existence is not confirmed, nor are any of its characteristics. However, it may be a remake of Foundation, as it was the site of a military robitics testing ground, and Cyberdyne from the Terminator movies was a military contractor building combat robots.
However, there is a possibility because of its technological implications that it may be related to the mechanized Halo 3 campaign levels Crow's Nest, Tsavo Highway, and The Storm which take place in a UNSC Base and Voi, Kenya.
Another possibility is that Cyberdyne was the codename for Warthog Inc., since it sounds like that will be a large factory. As both sound like they will be largely technological, it is possible they are one and the same.
It may be worth noting that The Pit's description make's mention of software simulations. This may be related to Cyberdyne in some way.
It is also entirely possible that Cyberdyne has either been cut from the final game or has been renamed to an existing map. Template:Level
