The Battle of Draco III was fought on the planet of Draco III some time before 2552.
After the Covenant had defeated UNSC ground forces, they didn't take any prisoners. The Covenant herded civilian survivors together and were torn apart by ravenous Grunts and Jackals. The Spartan-IIs watched all of this through satellite linkup and were sent to rescue any remaining civilians. By the time the Spartans got there, there were no survivors. The Spartan-II's proceeded to eliminate the Covenant forces. It was a battle that left Spartan 117, John, scarred because of all the horrible losses. [1]
