Honor Guard refers to Covenant warriors that defend the Prophets. The term is used six times in the Halo universe:

- Elite Honor Guard- The typical Imperial Protectors of the Covenant before the events that led to the Civil War of the Covenant
- Honor Guard Ultra - An uncommon variant of the standard Honor Guard Elites
- Honor Guard Councillor - A very rare variant of the standard Honor Guard Elite, believed to be the highest Honor Guard in the Covenant regardless of race
- Honor Guard Captain - A rarer version of the Brute Honor Guard. They are slightly powerfuler than the normal Brute Honor Guard, and also has a flag mounted on the shoulder, as the Brute Captain
- Honor Guard Pike - A Covenant melee weapon, the highest weapon of any Honor Guard
