A Starfighter is a small, maneuverable ship, often used for bombing or dogfighting in space in enclosed atmosphere.
These ships are unable to enter Slipspace by themselves but, with modifications, they can survive flights while taking heavy damage. Starfighters are also used in ship to ship combat.
