:It is called retcon. Wait, do we have confirmation the Pelican in Reach is actually D77-TC and not D77H-TC/I (the Halo 3 variant)? Because it looks awful lot like Halo 3's Pelican. Of course the Reach Pelican could be a variant of Halo 3's Pelican or a prototype of it or a variant of the Halo CE/2 Pelican.
