Base Segundo Terra was a UNSC military base located near Mexico City on the North American continent of Earth. Segundo Terra was a major facility for the UNSCDF of the region.

In 2552, during the Battle of Earth, Blue Team (Frederic-104, Linda-058, and William-043) used this base as a staging point to attack the Covenant incursions on Havana and the Yucatan Peninsula.[1]

Trivia

  • "Segundo" in Spanish means "second," and "Terra" in Latin means "earth," so "Segundo Terra" may literally mean "Second Earth".
  • It is also interesting to note that Base Segundo Terra was first mentioned during the Second Battle of Earth.
  • The name is grammatically incorrect in Spanish, as "segundo" is an adjective for male nouns, while "Tierra" is a female noun, so the correct name would be "Base Segunda Tierra".
