Lieutenant Colonel is a commissioned officer rank of the UNSC Marine Corps and UNSC Army, equal in rank to Commander in the UNSC Navy. Lieutenant Colonels command Battalion size forces.
In informal settings, Lieutenant Colonels are referred to simply as "Colonel".
