*'''Simonrjh''': This is an abnormal move on my part (I think this is my second ever HotM vote) but Simon has made, perhaps, the most important contribution to this community this month with his petition and subsequent blog calling for the end of points.  I make this only in part because of the specific contribution but because the contribution is a form that has rarely been utilized in Halopedia and should be commended.  --[[User:Forgottenlord|forgottenlord]] 02:19, 12 July 2008 (UTC)

According to the Self-Voting Amendment, users may no longer vote for themselves until someone votes for them first.

Before You Vote

  • Only votes from users who have accounts on Halopedia and whose vote are cast while being logged in will count. The account must have been created at least one month before the vote and have at least 50 article edits.
  • For example, if one is voting for HOTM for the month of October then the user must have created their account in July or before July.
  • Votes will be counted for next month. Please vote on the section for next month, because only the votes in that section will be counted.
  • You can vote one time only. If you wish to change your vote, cross out (but do not remove) any previous votes you have made.
  • Please bold your nomination so it is easier to see.
  • In the event of a tie the results from the edit count page will be used as a tie breaker.
  • You must put your vote with your signature in the voting area. In the end votes with signatures are the only ones that will be counted.

Votes

"More than anyone else has." - I think Dragonclaws is the exception there. HaloDude 09:01, 11 July 2008 (UTC)
I'm going to wait a while and see how this plays out before I vote. Pryo 'Zarkum, [iTalk] [iWork] [iWrite] 11:49, 1 July 2008 (UTC)
  • Sitheris: He is one of the most co-operative users here at Halopedia, and he has done so much in an attempt to improve our communities. He is a friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable user who should be recognized. SSgt. Razgriz 23:34, 30 June 2008 (UTC)
  • EwCDnaudee419: A knowledgable and hardworking user. General simon rjh 11:15, 1 July 2008 (UTC)
  • EwCDnaudee419: He gets my vote.Bllasae 14:16, 1 July 2008 (UTC)
  • EwCDnaudee419: Hey! Wait! He gets my vote too. Halo and 24 fan 19:07, 1 July 2008 (UTC)
  • Simonrjh: This is an abnormal move on my part (I think this is my second ever HotM vote) but Simon has made, perhaps, the most important contribution to this community this month with his petition and subsequent blog calling for the end of points. I make this only in part because of the specific contribution but because the contribution is a form that has rarely been utilized in Halopedia and should be commended. --forgottenlord 02:19, 12 July 2008 (UTC)

Sitheris? Are you kitting me!? He has less than 100 mainspace edits, the other nominees have more than 1,000. Excuse me, but wtf? Pryo 'Zarkum, [iTalk] [iWork] [iWrite] 11:53, 1 July 2008 (UTC)

It isn't just about editcount, it's about quality of those edits, communication and enthusiasm. Being an asset to Halopedia doesn't necessarily mean you contribute a lot to the articles. General simon rjh 11:55, 1 July 2008 (UTC)
I understand that. But obviously, you didn't look at some of the differences on his contribs. They are mostly the additions of links, or a spelling fix up. Forgottenlord, for example, doesn't have a huge amount of namespace edits, but has been a great asset to the community, and very enthusiastic and constructive on controversial blog posts. Sitheris lacks significant contributions and the kind of effort and enthusiasm shown by FL. Pryo 'Zarkum, [iTalk] [iWork] [iWrite] 12:01, 1 July 2008 (UTC)
I meant it as a guideline for voting in general, not just for Sitheris, who is a bad example because of the reasons you stated. Forgottenlord is a very good example, again, for the reasons you provided, although he used to contribute to articles a lot as well before his unofficial leaving. General simon rjh 12:06, 1 July 2008 (UTC)
I've never even seen this "Sitheris" guy on Halopedia.Bllasae 14:18, 1 July 2008 (UTC)

We really have a problem here, who's this Sitheris guys, and I think that no users with less than 100 edits are allowed to be nominated. MasterChiefPettyOfficerSpartan Contribution 14:23, 1 July 2008 (UTC)

I found nothing in the policy along the lines of requirements for nominees. Pryo 'Zarkum, [iTalk] [iWork] [iWrite] 21:09, 1 July 2008 (UTC)

Quit your whining. There are no requirements for being nominated, and if someone thinks the guy deserves it, so be it. You don't have to stand around shrieking "He is not worthy!" — Manticore [ AdminIRCHOTMBot ] 15:32, 2 July 2008 (UTC)

Whining? Shrieking? Are you trying to piss people off? Pryo 'Zarkum, [iTalk] [iWork] [iWrite] 19:44, 2 July 2008 (UTC)

Yes Manticore has a very good point. However this is a little off-track. I thought Sitheris was a sockpuppet of someone or is that TheSodaFreak? It is definitely one of them which is a sockpuppet of Echo-1337-Rogue or whatever his name is. I however do not care if someone thinks this dude should be nominated then go and do just that. Halo and 24 fan 19:19, 2 July 2008 (UTC)

Now that's interesting, a sockpuppet? —This unsigned comment was made by Master Chief Petty Officer (talkcontribs). Please sign your posts with ~~~~

Ok guys lets just settle down, its not a big deal. Spirit-of-HALO 19:47, 2 July 2008 (UTC)

Having sockpuppets is quite a big deal on halopedia. MasterChiefPettyOfficerSpartan Contribution 04:02, 6 July 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, I think it's pretty unlikly that Sitheris will get supported over the other two candidates, so there's no need to complain. Everyone is entitled to a vote. General simon rjh 09:57, 3 July 2008 (UTC)

Agreed. Councilor Εw C 'DnaudeeBattle Net My Editcount 14:02, 3 July 2008 (UTC)
