I am an Admin here at Halopedia. I joined on October 10, 2005 as "Ed", but during the transfer of domains, I had to change to "ED". I am a fanatic for writing, which is why I am here. I am a freshmen at the Ohio University Scripps school of Journalism, majoring in news editing. I wanna be a bamf when I grow up.

Hmm, well about me. I live in a little corner of Ohio that is always too cold in the morning and always windy when it's too cold. Lived here all my life. My football team is the PITTSBURGH STEELERS, and I follow the Cincinnati Reds for Baseball but I don't have a lot of interest in any sport other than American Football. I think I'm the only Halopedian who actually has a job, though I can't say my job at [[Burger King]] is really all that exciting. It makes me enough money to drive to wherever I want, whenever I want, hang out with my ladyfriends (Oh, I have many of them.) and generally enjoy life. When I'm not doing any of that, I'm here. Sorry folks, the real world has always taken precedence in my mind.

A perspective for you: When I joined Halopedia, we had roughly 275 articles and about 100 registered users. [[User:Dragonclaws|Dragonclaws]] was the only active community member then that is still active today. Exactly one year after I joined, our article counter hit 1,000. I also think it's safe to say that I have either created or overhauled most of the articles here at Halopedia. I have contributed a ''lot'' here over a long time, and I hope to see Halopedia continue to grow and become more well-known, whether I can continue to contribute here regularly or not.

By the way, on IRC my nick is "DEMONSPAWNED," but I never go there unless I need something or someone asks me to.

ED's background with the military

So you see, RR and a bunch of other people give a testament to my knowledge of the intricacies of the US Military. To be frank: I'm not a nerd who just sits around studying up on this stuff. I have firsthand experience with the US military and hopefully, that will remain the case for a long time. Here are my qualifications:

File:Rotcshield.gif US AIR FORCE JROTC: OH-081st SQUADRON File:Rotcshield.gif

2003 - 2005

I was a member of the Air Force Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps (AFJROTC) Ohio 81st Cadet Squadron for my first two years of High School. I took four courses in JROTC: Aerospace Science I, Aerospace Science II, Advanced Drill and Ceremonies, and Summer Leadership School. I was also a member of four JROTC marching teams: Inspected Drill Routine (IDR), Armed Inspected Drill Routine, Saber Team, and Honor Guard, as well as the Kitty Hawk Air Society.

My experiences in JROTC were amazing, and include two weeks of rigorous training at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, commanding an honor guard in presenting the colors during the national anthem of a Cincinnati Reds baseball game, and flying on missions in a C-141 Starifter of the 445th Airlift Wing and a KC-135 Stratotanker of the 121st Air Refueling Wing. There are countless others.

When I left JROTC, I had a total of sixty four awards, including four medals and twenty ribbons. My rank was cadet Chief Master Sergeant.

The Guesty-Persony-Thingy Honor is an accolade given solely by Guesty-Persony-Thingy that recognizes those Halopedians that have shown perseverance and dedication to the advancement of the aggregation of Halo knowledge. It is for those that rise beyond the call of duty, instead heeding the call to excellence. This user has proven him/herself in an exemplary fashion by doin' all kinds o' sexeh stuffz. Given on this date, June 28, 2007, to ED.
