General Kits led the ground portion of the Battle of Sigma Octanus IV and, along with 1,600 Marines, tried to capture a city held by the Covenant. He and most of his men were killed in action by the Covenant, as the humans had not yet encountered the Hunters and were unprepared to fight them.[1] General Kits' position on HIGHCOM Security Committee was taken by Major General Nicolas Strauss upon his death and failure.
