There are a four difficulty ratings in Halo games Easy, Normal, Heroic, and Legendary (do not get Heroic and Legendary mixed up with the [[Heroic Map Pack]] and [[Legendary Map Pack]]). Each difficulty has a different symbol. In [[Halo 3]] you cannot get any achievements from the easy difficulty. You get 125 [[gamerpoints]] for completing the [[campaign]] on Normal, 125 gamerpoints for completing the campaign on Heroic, and 125 gamerpoints for completing the campaign on Legendary (these points can only be achieved once). But if you complete all campaign missions from mission start on Heroic, it unlocks achievement for Normal, if not yet earned, and if you complete all campaign missions from mission start on Legendary it unlocks achievements for Normal and Heroic, if not yet earned. Two unoffical difficulties can be played, ''Mythic''- Legendary with the Mythic skull activated and ''Ultra''- Legendary with ALL skulls activated.The Marathon Symbol can be clearly sene on the easy sheild. The normal and heroic difficulties show machetes. the legendary difficulty has an Elite head in between the swords
