René was conscripted into the SPARTAN-II Program in 2517 and is not as well known as John-117 or Linda-058. When the time came for the Spartan augmentations, René became crippled and could not fight anymore. René was last known to be floating in a neural buoyancy gel tank, with his/her skeletal system twisted beyond recognition. The last time René was seen was on the UNSC Carrier Atlas. His/her current where abouts are unknown.[1]
