The chronicles the events that led up to Bornstellar becoming the IsoDidact, including the freeing of the Ur-Didact and the destruction of Maethrillian. This log was eventually found by the Office of Naval Intelligence on the planet Onyx and it was a vital source of information for humanity about the Forerunners and the Flood, though some doubted its validity.
