UNSC Unto the Breach is an Autumn-class heavy cruiser in service with the UNSC Navy.[1]
Service history[edit]
In 2558, Unto the Breach had been recently commissioned. In the same year, Michael Sullivan, Senior Communications Director of the Office of Naval Intelligence, arranged for journalist Benjamin Giraud to meet with Vice Admiral Gabriella Dvørak aboard Unto the Breach for an interview about Spartan John-117. Giraud was brought to the cruiser in a private shuttle while it was allegedly on a detachment close to his residence. However, Dvørak was affiliated with ONI and was covertly ordered to help cover up the use of flash clones in the SPARTAN-II program, clouding Giraud's story.[1]
Trivia[edit]
The vessel's name is a reference to William Shakespeare's play Henry V. "Once More unto the Breach" is a famous line from the play, and the title of the speech that follows it.

Using improvements and modifications made to the Halcyon-class light cruiser for Operation: RED FLAG as a starting point, the naval architects at SinoViet Heavy Machinery have added energy shield-reinforced armor, powerful fusion drives, long-range targeting matrixes, and a state-of-the-art magnetic accelerator cannon. These new weapons and systems are continually being improved to give the UNSC a competitive edge in battles against Covenant remnants and other threats that may yet arise." (Retrieved on Apr 7, 2017)
