Flight Officer Mitchell was a Pelican pilot aboard the UNSC Pillar of Autumn in 2552[1].

Mitchell was sent to fly the Spartan Red Team, headed by Spartan Frederic-104, down to the surface of Reach during the Battle of Reach aboard Pelican Bravo 001[2]. He was killed by a Covenant Seraph fighter that fired plasma at the Pelican, destroying its cockpit with him inside despite Knife 26 and the Longsword escort's attempts to protect the dropship[3]. It is likely that he was from the 23rd Naval Air Squadron.
