Ellen Marcus is a Human civilian, and the wife of Tech Officer Sam Marcus who served under Captain Jacob Keyes on the UNSC Pillar of Autumn[1]. She is never seen and she seems to live on the planet Earth as of 2552. Due to the Covenant threat and Sam's call to duty, she and her husband had not seen each other for over 3 years. Before his death, Sam carried a picture of her with him wherever he went. It is noted in Halo: The Flood that they have children[2]. She was probably informed of her husband's death by the time Halo 2 took place.
