Captain de Blanc was a UNSC officer. In 2535, he was the commander of the destroyer UNSC Resolute. After five hard days of fighting on Jericho VII, De Blanc took the SPARTAN-IIs aboard after the fall of the planet. He allowed the ship to remain in the system for a few hours so that the then-Chief Petty Officer John-117 could watch the glassing of yet another Human colony with his own eyes. [1]
