CCS-U321 was a CCS-class battlecruiser known only by its UNSC designation that was a part of the Fleet of Glorious Interdiction.
History
In February 2531, after the location of the Outer Colony of Arcadia was discovered during the Harvest campaign, the CCS-class battlecruiser that would become known as CCS-U321 was sent to the planet alongside the battlecruiser that would become known as CCS-U624. Upon arrival, both ships were attacked by the UNSC Pillar of Autumn, the UNSC Belfast, the UNSC Texas and the UNSC Armstrong. The four UNSC vessels managed to catch CCS-U321 with its shields down and destroy it, but CCS-U624 destroyed the Belfast and the Texas and caused heavy damage to the Armstrong and the Pillar of Autumn before continuing on.
When the UNSC Spirit of Fire arrived at Arcadia after the space battle, the ship's smart-AI Serina reported on the events to Captain James Cutter.[1]
Trivia
- CCS-U321's designation, as well as that of CCS-U624, resembles those of German U-boats during World War II.
