Cote d'Azure was a human colony world that was glassed by the Covenant early in the Human-Covenant War.[2]

History

Human-Covenant war

The colony was discovered by the Covenant and glassed in the first four years of the Human-Covenant War.[2][Note 1] During a lecture at Rishard University on Arcadia in February 2531, Professor Ellen Anders claimed that the planet had "large-scale engineered features."[3]

Trivia

In Halo: Ghosts of Onyx, the city of Cote d'Azur on Sigma Octanus IV is sometimes referred to as "Cote d'Azure."[4] However, given the timeline of the data pads, it would suggest the two are separate.

Notes

  1. ^ The Halo: Reach data pads list Cote d'Azure as among the eight human colonies to have been glassed by 2530. However, as numerous other colonies besides those eight are known to have been glassed prior to 2530, this information is suspect, especially given that the information is from in-universe documentation created by the Assembly, which might not be aware of the other colonies' destruction.
