- The Odyssey is launched.[1] The lead ship in the colony vessels, the Odyssey-laden with troops and terraforming gear-spearheads the colonization of a new world, Reach.[2][3] This sparks the first wave of human expansion beyond the confines of the Solar System.[4]

- The Committee of Minds for Security holds a working session to design feasible models for first-contact scenarios with potentially hostile extraterrestrial intelligences.[5]
- The CAA First Reverie is built in orbit of Mars around this year. It is one of nearly a hundred colony ships to launch from Luna to colonise new worlds, igniting what would become known as the Domus Diaspora.[6]
