The Sabre Program Launch/Research Range was a secret UNSC facility near Farkas Lake on the Eposz continent of the planet Reach. It was the newest facility in the Sabre Program.[1] As its name suggests, the range was used to research, house, and launch YSS-1000 Sabres. During the Fall of Reach on August 14, 2552, SPARTAN Noble Team defended the facility from Covenant attackers and used one of its Sabres to initiate Operation: UPPER CUT.[2]
Trivia
The facility is the location of the Halo: Reach multiplayer map Countdown.
