It is a new rendition of Halo Theme Mjolnir Mix from the Halo 2: Original Soundtrack, and, like the original, features Steve Vai as a soloist. Its name alludes to Project GUNGNIR. It is used as opening credits music for the audiobooks Halo: Broken Circle, Halo: New Blood, Halo: Hunters in the Dark, and Halo: Saint's Testimony.
The track will be featured in Forza Horizon 5 as part of the Horizon XS radio station starting from the Series 40 update onwards, albeit with the title of Halo Theme Gungnir Mix (feat. Steve Vai).[1]
