Corporal Turpin is an Orbital Drop Shock Trooper in the UNSC Marine Corps. She is the designated drone controller of Boomerang Company, assigned to the UNSC Spirit of Fire,[1] and utilizes a personal drone nicknamed "Hank".[2]

Biography

Turpin was assigned to the Spirit of Fire in early 2531. She participated in the Harvest Campaign, the Battle of Arcadia and the Battle of the Etran Harborage. After these events, she entered cryosleep along with the rest of the crew. On March 28, 2559, she and everyone else were awakened after 28 years of drifting in space to find themselves at the Forerunners' Installation 00. There, Turpin fought against the Banished during the Second Ark Conflict.[1] Following the departure of Installation 09, Turpin was part of Operation: SPEARBREAKER, an attempt to thwart a Banished plot designed by the Mgalekgolo pair known as Colony.[1]

Personality and traits

Turpin wishes for nothing more than a life of glorious anonymity, rather than a career filled with fateful encounters. When she was assigned to Boomerang Company, the rest of its ODSTs were nervous, as her reputation for dragging fellow Marines into perilous adventure is well known among the Spirit of Fire’s crew and troops. As the squad prepared to deploy for a routine recon mission on the Ark’s surface, Turpin crossed her fingers that nothing of interest or importance would transpire.[1]
