Designed the Halcyon-class cruiser |
Doctor Robert McLees is a human ship designer and one of the co-founders of Reyes-McLees Shipyards over Mars. In 2510 he introduced the Halcyon-class light cruiser,[1] a design that would see substantial use by the UNSC Navy during the Human-Covenant War. Dr. McLees later conducted a series of interviews with Marine servicemen regarding both UNSC and Covenant matériel at some point following the war.[2]
Trivia
He is named after a Bungie employee, Robert McLees, who was responsible for designing many of the weapons in Halo: Combat Evolved and Halo 2, hence the in-universe character's interviews with E2-BAG/1/7. He also served as a writer during the development of Halo 3 and wrote the story Palace Hotel for Halo: Evolutions.
