Skywalker Sound is a film sound production company and subsidiary to George Lucas' Lucas Digital motion picture group. They produced the soundtracks for various blockbuster films such as the Star Wars Prequel trilogy, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Jurassic Park, Saving Private Ryan, Titanic, and King Kong. They re-recorded all of the non-vocal audio in Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary,[1] which was released worldwide on November 15th, 2011.[2] Skywalker Sound also recorded Halo: Spartan Assault's soundtrack.[3] They worked on both occasions with music composer Tom Salta. Skywalker Sound will also re-record the soundtrack for Halo 2: Anniversary,[4] as well as add several new tracks exclusive to the remake.[5]
Trivia
The subsidiary is named after the highly notable Skywalker family within the Star Wars saga.
