Design details
- Main article: Type-58 Wraith
The Ultra Wraith is a special variant of the Type-58 Wraith, outfitted as a siege vehicle with a new upgraded plasma mortar capable of blanketing large areas with plasma.[2] Upon detonation, the plasma round fired by the Ultra Wraith explodes as a cluster munition, with several secondary explosions following shortly after. The Wraith Ultra also has heavier armour than standard variants.
Usage
The Ultra Wraith was employed by the Swords of Sanghelios and Jul 'Mdama's Covenant in the Post-Covenant War conflicts. In 2558, one was pulled to Genesis by the slipspace travel of a Guardian, where it was one of many pieces of human and Covenant equipment dumped on the planet.[3] They were later employed by SPARTAN-IV personnel in War Games simulations.[4]
Gameplay
Ultra Wraiths appear in Halo 5: Guardians in both campaign and multiplayer. In the campaign, they appear in the mission Genesis. In the multiplayer, they are useable in the Warzone gamemode. The Ultra Wraith REQ card has the following attributes;
- Rarity: Rare
- Level: 6
Ultra Wraiths have 50% more health than a standard Wraith, the same as their Temple brethren.[5] However, their plasma mortars cannot kill a campaign player character and make them revivable, even with a direct impact, unlike the regular Wraith's plasma mortar.
